10 dollars, 10 friends, 10 days
10.10.10
Siem Reap, Cambodia, October 4, 2010 – 30 years ago, a group called the Khmer Rouge tried a social experiment, and started a chain reaction that killed more than 1.5 million Cambodians. In 2010, PEPY is using the Power of Ten to spread the word of the importance of access to quality education, to ensure that this never happens again.
The Power of 10 is a campaign aimed at raising funds and awareness about the work that PEPY is doing by creating a global network of informed, engaged, and active citizens. It is not only about highlighting how far an individual’s money can go, but how far an individual’s impact can reach.
The Power of 10 is social experiment of our own
to each give 10 dollars and find 10 more friends

to each give 10 dollars and find 10 more friends …
Through its partner government schools and informal education initiatives, PEPY supports education for more than 1,700 families in 12 villages and 10 schools in rural Siem Reap. PEPY believes education is the key to sustainable change, and is committed to a holistic developmental approach, which empowers children, parents, teachers, and communities to make the positive changes they want to see in their lives. PEPY invests time and resources in people, with the belief that improving education, providing training, and stimulating ideas builds capacity for people to better solve their own problems.
