This week, for the first time ever, PEPY’s entire Khmer staff, including our English, computer, and literacy teachers as well as our Child-to-Child educators and our office staff, joined our foreign team for an end-of-year dinner. Along with government teachers from the primary and secondary schools in Chanleas Dai as well as the team of riders from the PEPY Ride 4, the PEPY gathering gave us all a chance to get to know each other better and celebrate the coming new year. Managing Director Maryann Bylander and Country Manager Aline Meas spoke to the group to thank them for their hard work this year and their committment to education in Chanleas Dai. There were lots of laughs and smiles as the group watched PEPY slideshows and videos from the past year. Four years after the original idea for PEPY began, we are a strong and growing organization, extremely thankful for all who have joined our team and are committed to improving educational opportunities in Cambodia. The evening was a special occasion for PEPY to recognize how far we have come and to look forward to our goals for 2009.
