PEPY Wins Geotourism Challenge!!!

WOW!  We are honored and delighted that so many of you, our friends, PEPY volunteers, and past PEPY Tours participants, stepped up and voted for PEPY in the Changemakers Geotourism competition.  We know that many of you not only voted but also asked your friends to do the same.  As a result, PEPY is now one of the winners of the Ashoka and National Geographic Geotourism Challenge… THANK YOU!
This honor means we will be mentioned in many publications, including National Geographic, and we hope this exposure will help us to increase sign-ups for our tours in this slow period for tourism. The prize also includes a $5,000 award, which we will use to fund increased marketing and do more tour development. An increase in the success of our tour marketing will mean further increase in funds raised for our educational programs, allowing us to rely less on donations and provide more sustainability to our NGO finances.  In effect, your support by voting for PEPY will hopefully turn into both increased exposure for responsible travel for those traveling through Cambodia as well as further support for PEPY’s educational programs.  Who knew a couple of clicks through an online voting system could do so much!
