Sugar cane juice stops, coconut breaks, and noodle soup lunches fuelled our tired legs during this year’s PEPY Ride. This year marked PEPY’s sixth year of conducting the PEPY Ride—an adventure travel and learning experience powered by legs, determination, and a desire to experience Cambodia through a different lens.
This trip was a two-part adventure, with the first part being ten days covering a distance of over 400 km, cycling along dusty dirt roads, intimidating highways, and beautiful and remote trails. We visited big provinces, small villages and communes, and cycled off the beaten track. We met with and learned from various people and NGOs along the way, and discussed development, social, and educational issues pertaining to Cambodia.
One of our riders, Angela, was able to blog about some of the things that we learned and other adventures that we had during the 10 days. You can
read more about her experiences here!
Thank you very much for sharing, Angela! Next month, read up about the rest of the trip which we offered in partnership with Canada-based
Global Agents for Change!
