For those of you who can’t join us on a PEPY Tour, but are headed to Siem Reap on your own, PEPY now offers have an opportunity for you! Our One Day Cycling Adventures are perfect for those who are tired of the temple bound tourist trail, but prefer an adventure off the beaten track with an expert who knows the way. These accessible journeys provide a way to experience true Cambodian culture, as well as an opportunity to learn more about sustainable development. All profits generated by these tours helps benefit locally run NGOs are supporting educational projects in Cambodia.
HIGHLIGHTS
Spend the day cycling to secluded temples, or an ancient reservoir, join a monk for a chat about Buddhism, meet some of our friends in rural villages, wave at wandering water buffalo and savor the serene lime-green rice paddies signature red dirt roads of the Cambodia countryside. Alternatively, if you have your own ideas about places you want to visit, we can take you there too. Just drop us a line! If you really want to get out and explore, we can offer multi-day options. Our tours include camping near jungle temples, or a sequence of day trips starting from the hotel of your choice. Rural Cambodia and a high quality mountain bike await you.
WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
Group Size: Maximum of 10 people per ride. Single riders are encouraged.
Grade: Easy to Moderate. Dependant on the itinerary and can be tailored to requests.
Transport: High quality mountain bikes. In some itineraries, local boats.
Length: Most day-long itineraries start at 8am and finish at 3pm. We will break for lunch, and swimming, sightseeing, or temple visits, and the trip can also be customized to suit your needs.
Inclusions: The trip includes the rental of a mountain bike and any panniers you might want to borrow, local English-speaking guide, transport to/from the start point, lunch, and a donation benefiting local education programs in Siem Reap province.
PRICING
Tour Price: Our standard day tours are $38. Other options have customized pricing based on your needs.
Donation: From this trip fee, a portion of the money goes directly to our NGO partners working to support education in rural Cambodia. You can find out about the current project partners on each trip and, if you like, we can add you to a mailing list that will update you about projects you are supporting once you leave. The per-person donation is always a minimum of $10 and has already been included in the above price. Have an adventure AND support projects, which will continue even after you go home. Why would you get on a bike with anyone else?!
