Socheat – PEPY School Assistant, also from Chanleas Dai. We are excited to be employing people from the area who can not only continue to give back to their community through their salaries, but also through their increased training and other opportunities which we hope this job is bringing to them. Some day, we hope we will have the chance to employ graduates of the PEPY school programs! |
Song Seangmee, Ann Sokly, Srey Reub, Chan Navy, and Horm Srey Ream are 5 new short-term project cooks (being trained for two weeks in Phnom Penh) who will work for the four+ months in which our new schools will be built. They are all from Chanleas Dai and some have children who attend the PEPY programs. |
At the house in Chanleas Dai:
We have a cleaning lady and a cook named Lun Maly and a part-time assistant, both from Chanleas Dai, who work at the PEPY house on the school grounds. Now with at least 5 people living there full time, and many more at other times, a staff to assist in the cooking/cleaning (without a stove and washing machine of course!) is needed to help the teachers have more time to plan and make sure everyone is eating well! |
