This month, PEPY welcomes three new full-time staff, and is excited to announce that two of our Khmer interns are moving to full time as well. Join us in welcoming Kum Menghour, Jacqueline and Adam Kronk, Soth Bopha, and Chor Cho to our team!

Kum Menghour

Hour comes from Kampong Cham province, where he has spent the last seven years working as a teacher trainer and technical team leader for KAPE’s education programs. KAPE (Kampuchean Action for Primary Education) is one of the most respected education NGOs in Cambodia, and we are excited to learn from KAPE and Hour as he takes over our Classroom Library and Literacy Programs in Chanleas Dai.

Jacqueline and Adam Kronk

Jacqueline and Adam join PEPY from South Bend, Indiana, where they met and married while working at the Center for the Homeless. Adam was the Center’s Chief Operating Officer and Jacqueline was the Director of Development. The Kronks are taking over these same leadership roles at PEPY for the next two years. We are excited to have their new ideas and experience on our team! To learn more about PEPY’s changing organizational structure, check our latest Team Journal entry here.

Soth Bopha

Bopha is a 19-year-old first-year student at University of Cambodia in Siem Reap, and joined PEPY six months ago as a part-time intern. This month, she joins us as a full-time Literacy Program Assistant, working with us to make new early literacy titles and children’s books.

Chor Choch (Joe)

Joe, 25, is originally from Siem Reap and dreams of being a tour guide. Along with English and Khmer, Joe also speaks French fluently and loves to learn. After six months working as a part-time intern, Joe joined PEPY as a full-time staff member last month. He is training to be a trip leader for PEPY Tours, and is also managing our Hipster product sales.
