Today, PEPY Empowering Youth’s good friend Cho set off on a bike trip to raise funds in support of our Annual Campaign. Cho and his friend Joe will cycle from Phnom Penh to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
Cycling has always played an important role within PEPY Empowering Youth – in fact, if it weren’t for cycling, the organization may not even exist today! After all, our story all started with a bike trip across Cambodia in 2004 to learn about and contribute to education programs in the area. Since then, our vision and mission has been adjusted and improved to make us what we are today.
So why has Cho decided to get on his bike and cycle all the way to Vietnam? Well, just like everyone at PEPY and all our supporters, Cho believes that education is the best way to develop a strong, sustainable future for Cambodia. The funds raised by this bike ride will go to support our current programs – Dream Classes, Learning Center and the Scholarship Program – which help students from Kralanh district to work towards a better future for themselves.
