On Sunday 13 December, our Scholarship students in years 1 and 2 had the chance to explore their adventurous side with a trip to the Angkor Cup Climbing Competition. A total of 15 students took part, alongside two members of PEPY Empowering Youth staff.
Each participant had to make it through two rounds of tricky climbing, with the top participants then being chosen for the third and final round. The PEPY team was placed in the beginners group, as Sunday was the first time that many of them had tried their hand at climbing. The founders of Angkor Climbers Net, a Cambodian-Japanese partnership, are keen to get people climbing not only as a way to have fun and get fit, but also to build self-confidence. With four PEPY students winning prizes in the competition, it looks like Angkor Climbers Net certainly achieved their goal with us!
Congratulations to all the students and staff who participated in Sunday’s event. Let’s keep climbing to reach our goals in the future!
