Today, we would like to share with you some big news for PEPY Empowering Youth! This news is equal parts sad and exciting….today, we announce that Kimline Nuch has sadly stepped down from her role as Executive Director to pursue her dream of founding her own accountancy consulting firm. Kimline is succeeded by Sarakk Rith who has been a part of the PEPY family for many years. PEPY would like to take the opportunity to thank Kimline for all the hard work and dedication she has put into guiding PEPY over the last few years, especially over our period of localization. PEPY would also like to take this opportunity to welcome Sarakk back to a role with PEPY, and say that we are looking forward to working together once again under Sarakk’s knowledge, guidance and passion. We would like to share some sentiments from both Kimline and Sarakk as this exciting change takes place…..
“It is with mixed emotions that I send this message. As some of you know, I will move on for my dream very soon. It was not an easy decision to make because I truly enjoy working with all of you here at PEPY Empowering Youth. However, I am very thrilled and excited that I am passing the role to a very safe pair of hands in Sarakk who has a big heart, big love, and who is passionate about PEPY’s work. He is really keen to make a difference in his community, Kralanh District in Siem Reap province. He is a very amazing and great leader for PEPY, and I strongly believe in him. PEPY Empowering Youth is very lucky that he has chosen to come back to the organization and take over the Executive Director role. I cannot explain how excited we are to have him back!! This is wonderful news for PEPY in 2015.
In addition, this message is to let you know that Sarakk will take over officially as Executive Director at PEPY Empowering Youth from 14thSeptember 2015.
Moreover, I wanted to take this opportunity to express my thanks to all of our donors and supporters who have helped PEPY grow to where we are today, without you, we would not be here, I do hope you will all continue to support the organization under our new Executive Director and PEPY and long into the future.
For your information I am still continuing working with PEPY as consultant through to December 2015, so you can reach out to me if there is anything I can help with. Please keep in touch.
All the best and thank you,
Kimline”
We wish you all the best Kimline! We are very grateful for your work and dedication, and you will forever remain a strong link in the PEPY Family!
“Dear All Beloved People,
Some of you may know me already but some may not. Taking this opportunity I would like to introduce myself to you all. I first joined PEPY (Project the Earth, Protect Yourself) in 2008 as the English teacher in Chanleas Dai Primary School. I initially felt very nervous about my role because I never worked with foreigners before and my English was very limited, but PEPY gave me a lot of support and both skills and motivation. I was very inspired by the PEPY family and the way we work to help the community. With strong support and encouragement, I worked very hard and worked from my heart. Later, I was promoted to different roles as time went on so that I could share my experiences and help other team members to do their jobs.
In 2012, I was promoted to be Senior Program Manager and I felt nervous again because the role was huge to me. However, everyone at PEPY (at that time PEPY stands for Promoting Education, emPowering Youth) never let me be alone. Everyone supported me, cheered me up and we had a lot of fun together. I held the position as a Senior Program Manager until September 2014, then I decided to leave PEPY for a while to learn and to gain more knowledge from other NGOs for me to bring back to PEPY. I was very sad about leaving but I committed to myself that I would come back to PEPY again.
During almost one year with other two big INGOs, I learned that PEPY is a unique organization with a strong culture of sharing, helping, empowering, forgiving and have a fun. The thing that impresses me most about PEPY is that every dollar we receive from donors is spent efficiently and we have are very open and transparent. Our team upholds best practice and are good role models of integrity and high responsibility. I can feel that whatever we do, we do it from our hearts and we want to make change in the community, especially with youth and children who are from the families with difficulties – so that later on they can help their brothers, sisters, families and also help develop their own communities.
I am so glad that I can be back to PEPY again (PEPY Empowering Youth) and I am sure that you all will support us to do our jobs and to make changes in people’s lives, in the community, in the country and in the world. All of us working together can push the PEPY boat to move faster and succeed with our work! I am sure that you would feel very impressed and inspired to see our current students’ behavior, energy, and commitment and effort they put in to their study and personal development in order to succeed their future dreams and careers.
“Be a part of us so that we can share our common success together.”
I am looking forward to working with you all.
With all my respect from the bottom of my heart.
Sarakk”
PEPY Empowering Youth welcomes you Sarakk! – We look forward to working together, building on a strong foundation and reaching for new heights.
